A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

written in azure rose

i rise to a chilled morning's beck and call

the bugle of memories

notes swiftly frosting

with the early bare trees singing background harmony

the lines too long for swift momentum

i extend the covers back over my weeping head

you are gone

and i am blanketed with musings

that warm my pen

even as my heart turns blue.

Honest and powerful words shared Jacob. One day, us writers, can have the pen and paper, as our last friend. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Was my pleasure and you are welcome Jacob.
Absolutely beautiful Jacob. Such a poignant piece deeply felt. Visual with some wonderful poetic expression. I like very much, title expertly chosen.

I love the title of the poem. It drew me in first. Love the lines, " … you are gone and I am blanketed with musings that warm my pen even as my heart turns blue." Beautiful!

Your poem is written with the sadness of musing but the vastness of your bruising. Hearts turning blue as blood in veins run through. May your heart find the harmony for the queen's sake and Saxony. Marvelous Jacob.

Musings come in all forms for a poet, for better or worse.
Another really nice piece of poetry.
