Spinning, floating, bloating is what they do in DC, J. I spent many years there. I arrived as a staunch Republican, and left disillusioned but a determined rebel with no particular label.
My late uncle, a man of the Great Depression, once said of Democrats and Republicans, “there’s not a nickel’s worth in them or between them.” They’re bad actors on a national stage, and sadly no one has been truly watching for years. I suppose that’s how “the man in golden shoes” landed the leading role.
The air reeks of deception and ignorance, and the public is partly the source... so I believe, even more now. Good write, J.

Im always impressed with your writing Jacob, but that second verse is like someone just let off a firework display in my brain.
I am guessing here that their is a political slant to this, but word for word and line by line, it can also perfectly read about trolls. (at least in my warped and fragile lottle mind)
Knowing your talent, that was probably intentional, and I'm sorry i missed all the other layers anfd meanings i know doubt missed. 😀
No matter the target, some fresh air would be good.
Ragingindifference...feel like conflicting words to me. Yet indifference does enrage, especially by someone in power, treading on a sea of hopes, practising deception without a care...

This was fast and furious in pace J. Read to me about some religious leader all rich and shiny, and his disposable flock poor as. Anyway it was written with flair and professionalism as the norm. :)
