One of my brothers, who is a hardcore dork bookworm, very thick glasses & pot-belly . . . he always went for the most unattainable popular girls . . . your poem brings it all back. Back then, I thought him a fool, but looking back I wonder how much is disguised self-preservation? Maybe this was his way of staying alone & safe all his life (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Sounds like in her eyes he blotted his copy book and he knows it. No chance of redemption. So well written. Great visuals here Jacob. Could picture this scenario perfectly.

Sad story, Jacob, but a great poem.

Yep...experience has taught me there are no "random" blondes...lol. A great opening.
An equation with two Ill-balanced sides. He seems presumptuous, she seems bitter and angry, not necessarily just with him. Her disdain and his lies are hardly going to help the equation, however regretful he may feel about it. Says so much about today’s relationships.
