some flowers never wake

some flowers never wake

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

some flowers never wake

cold compost

dreams find themselves delinquent

in fruition's time frame

the clock ticks

waste management

a delusion

we all fail to rouse

when success is nudging us

maybe cold water might

but the stench would be unbearable

and yet, we still won't get to success

before it

becomes part of the earth

where weeds outgrow

plants

and the blooms we tend to

remain in a comatose state.

dear Jacob... my Gladioli bulbs may never waken... they are so lovely when they bloom.
We can only hope they will rest until time runs out. Sometimes they only bloom one year or two... then they sleep right through June.
Your poetry brings out the Florence Nightingale in me and I find I want to nurse you back to warmth and dreams of Soring. Truly, Pat

We soooo forget weeds ARE plants...
that have a place and purpose
our will hasn't pre-approved
a place and value for ...sigh.

We see what our perceptions allow
in realities where we ARE clueless.

Top notch poetry with deep life meanings sir Jacob. Every line carries so much truth and philosophy. You are a master in your own right. You focus on the truth and reality unfolds in all its facets.
