from the eddies of grief, rises a blue fish

from the eddies of grief, rises a blue fish

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

from the eddies of grief, rises a blue fish

tearful agenda

smiles like creek beds

when soaked in happy imagination

can we write from mid-stream

or only from the shore line

looking in?

While the sorrow is deep, looking back causes untold sadness and regrets in hindsight but one never knows going with the flow until its too late. Very concise and clever J. I like this one.

yes, hindsight..always perfect vision, isn't it?
thank you, andrew.

I love the title and contents. From the poet's vantage point, grief is part and parcel of loss and departure. Grief breaks dams and spills in torrents. This was short but powerful as a direct effect.
