A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Words Askew

you might have erased me

but if you hold the paper up to the light

my imprint will be a poem

etched into your heart....

Thank you, Cassie,
j.
It makes me think of the old typing paper or erasable pens. The gray smudges dirtying the paper. A poem beneath all that mess is a very attractive thought. But with no one there to try and read it, the words become lost and so too does the connection. Cool write Jacob.

and the poet forgotten...
thank you, Crowley...appreciate your visit and words.

I fear I may have been erased permanently from some in the past and I sense your erasure bothers you too. I think we all like to feel that a little of us remains even with those we no longer see. I like the idea of a poem being etched on the heart. What better way to be remembered than a in a poem.

thank you for your understanding words, Chris,

Rubbing lemon juice on it works too Jacob. From my invisible ink boy scout days, or does it just feel like someone has thrown it in your eyes? My memory is getting worse.

don't forget the ink...and the lemon juice...
thanks for the smile, Lorry,

I hope there are imprints of me left behind - or maybe just a trace of me in the crumbs of the eraser that were brushed off the page :) love the idea of the words on the paper being erased into her heart 💜
