venomous virus of virtual slander

venomous virus of virtual slander

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

venomous virus of virtual slander

preposterous petulance

ponders precisely pandemic

poetry

we are all infected

but many remain unaware

the syllabic symptoms in sordid suggestion

sully stanzas

and hospitalize harried hysterics

as the words warn warily willful writers

who choose to ignore the danger

and continue to touch other poets

with cruel insinuations

intentions

innovations of hateful ramblings

that pretend to be serums to salve hearts

when they are spreading their diseased wrath

wringing words, choking creations

into callous, corona-like contamination

barely breathing rhetoric ruining subconscious

thought

until there are no sterile words left

and real poetry is relegated to un-displayed

unread,

and simply

real dead.

Corona for Trolls and halfwits in general, but would it really kill them off.
On a lighter note, an old woman ran past me this morning out running. I didn't have the energy to shout to her. You should be self-isolating.

From now on I’m calling you brother Jacob:)
This is a truly great metaphorical write using the virus in the context of poetry and those who would do their best to kill it. Wonderful alliteration that slips of the tongue. Such a clever poem. Your muse is very fired up Jacob. I am more hopeful about poetry. She has had a long life and I sincerely hope she has many more birthdays.

thank you, Thomas, appreciate your visit and words,

What a clever post, j. This work could only come from you, What you know and feel about language is used to it the nth degree here. There's an unusual mix of metaphors and reality, light and dark.. You have shown how, yet again. Keep safe, sir, please. :)
