a ray of sun in the darkest of nights

 

 

gorgeous insanity

predictable tornadoes

collide,

indeterminate casualties

 

we love amidst

the perfect storm

with imperfect feelings melding

brought together under tragic stars

 

but as one light burns out

another shade of passion

finds its words coloring hearts

that bloom into a tomorrow

 

never before daring to whisper.

I see it as a private and emotional cord between an artist and his/her work; sometimes providing catharsis and relief and sometimes sheer amusement and entertainment; even during the tornadoes, tragedies and casualties; scribbling love, optimism and courage.

This line sounds so melancholic and comforting to me at the same time. The idea of being together even when the rest of the world is collapsing is so beautiful and tragic at the same time.

Speaks to me about finding love and hope when our world has been cloaked in darkness for so long; to love wholeheartedly is to throw oneself head first into that perfect storm, like crazy twister chasers; and throw caution to the wind. Let it take us where it may. Sometimes we will be casualties but just as there is light again after every storm, our hearts may again bloom with colour. A very hopeful and delicate poem, J. One I can relate to very much. Much enjoyed!:))
