Periphery

Periphery

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Periphery

the edges,

a molecule glistens

falls into the disarray

of life

the middle

a heart ruined

Thank you for your kind words, Ankita,

One molecule in a million, billion trillion. That is life and forgotten so quickly. But those little things can have lasting repercussions. I like this short simple poem.

thank you for your words, adorno,

The periphery, living life on the edge can be exciting. Relationships need a spark now and again. Too much of the middle road, can lead to boredom and dullness. You have to keep the fires burning.

Yes, definitely have to keep them burning...

It's not easy to ride life in the middle. The highs and lows are what makes life exciting and different. Sometimes the craziness of the edges is what the soul needs. Lydi**

Cute, Dave...very Cute..and could fit...:)
the middle sucks at times, I want to shout make up your mind... lol... now this has nothing to do with your poem Jacob, just a random thought that somehow made it into my mind... anyway, what I also thought was that song by Stealers Wheel, 'Stuck In The Middle With You"' and the words, "clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am suck in the middle with you?"..... OUCH!!! but you know Jacob, if you think about the "middle", there really isn't one as to be noncommittal is to commit via silence... and when aplied to todays world, a heart in the middle is in for an even rudder awakening...

I think you know by now that your poems always lead me in lots of directions and for me that is a good thing, keeps me young... ;o) or in other words, I enjoyed your poem Jacob...

The heart often gets stuck in the middle and pays the price.
