i loved you madly, gladly
then sadly
in the mist
of the midst
of your ease
of breeze
as the leaves returned
to a madly, gladly
then sadly
October's reinvention
of a certain redemption
as we moved to stone.

Til death do us part. So cleverly written, definitely a smart man’s poem, it has class.

How we transition from madly, gladly to sadly and then to stone...I wish it was the reverse!

You're mist welcome dear sir!
This little piece of brevity started with such promise and at the mention of October I new we were heading for a fall. Stone killed the romance dead. So much conveyed in so few words and visual with it Jacob. A sad ending.

thank you for your understanding words, Chris.

Flowing, smooth rhyming play on words that recounts such a sad tale of lost love. This one is pathos packed and short but anything but sweet!

Desperately sad.

The heat of summer, it cannot last. Things will cool when the seasons change.
