Poem...or not

Poem...or not

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Poem...or not

the words scarce

bereft of color

the poet's winter

hard upon

there is no significance

to what he writes

just a profound sadness

hiding in candid sight.

Optics bored and scrounging for a change of scenery. Something different. Anything to stimulate tired eyes.
Nice Jacob.

I like this take, thank you, duff,
j.
I reckon the poet has lost his appetite for words and who can blame him with the unsavoury politics leaving a bad taste in the mouth. Brevity which Sat's so much. So well done Jacob.

Like a great owl in night flight.A woodpecker in rain. A coyote with burning eyes in the dark.A poet doesnt know his beauty.

your review is better poetry than the poem itself is.

Aww welcome :)
Wow Jacob, you have captured in so few words the sadness of the forlorn writer who feels they are empty and bereft of meaning. However even in doing so, you yourself add to the art of short form poetry and the use of metaphors.

Poem or not...he writes to bleed his sadness...offload some of it onto the paper...
Loved the subtle rhyming in this gem.
