what say you

what say you

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

what say you

here say ….

there say...

you say

i say

say say what needs to be said

heard, bantered about

freedom is a notion

a potion for understanding

differences

indifferences

allotting space

to each race, religion and reflex

deference is human

difference is human

hate is inhumane

human is the pain

love is a cure

in the experimental stage

since the beginning of time

of space, of race of religion, of reflex

but we are too slow

improvement,

we have had the chance to dance

together forever

but sever

the notion

till no potion

can reattach

our hearts

what say you

Hey, thanks for your words, sette,
j.
We have not had the chance to dance for so many years. There is the Dance of Life...
We all have worn out our Shoes... and now sing the Blues. gently, Pat

I am looking for a new pair of shoes...thank you, Pat,
j.
The unity and love this poem speaks of can only happen on an individual level.
On the technical level, this piece is very well-put together - which is no surprise, of course.

Thank you for your kind review, Laz,
j.
I say I really like this poem and the message it contains. This year has been a nightmare, world over. We all have a common enemy. The virus should unite us in recognising that there is far more we have in common than what we disagree about. Much more tolerance a d understanding needed.

Take a bow Jacob. Wonderful write.

Chris
