a-cumulus - ated.

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a-cumulus - ated.

I tried to be poetical
but ended up just being pathetical

my verse wouldn't rise with the sun
so I pulled out my gun

and shot my keyboard to bits
bullet tears and angry fits

when the poetry's gone what next?
except for being a wasted bard, totally vexed

REO sang "it's time for me to fly
so I'm hitchin' to a cloud

and waving bye bye
with what words I'm allowed.

The harder it becomes to find the words, a voice, in these wordless silent times, with the realisation it's not just our bodies, but our minds imprisoned too, through inactivity, it gets harder and harder remaining active.
And what are we without words? A question that will hopefully remain unanswered.

When it rains it pours but sometimes one needs to do a rain dance of sorts to get that flow coming.🤔 in the meantime enjoy the clouded views which aren’t cloud nine. But seriously a great write J.

I pictured the bard, thrashing his keyboard and kicking things like an angry wizard! I even pictured a star-spangled gown! Loved it, dear Jacob! Those angry, testy moments that our verses bring us sometimes. Loved the rhyming too!
