the face

the face

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the face

vindictive strangers

come so close

we can touch their wry sarcasm

put a finger on the pulse of their irony

we can poem about the distant look in their eyes

but trust their honesty

until dawn breaks

the too friendly moon in half.

.. I recently lost my faith to a too friendly moon ... but found my self again in poetry .. in truth, I often feel inspired by the words you string together jacob sir .. and these are no exception ..
