Memories.....some of them are better left locked up, aren't they? In poetry, they seem not quite so bad, but some still do elicit screams. I liked this, Jacob. Lydi**
Locked in ... locked down ... locked up.
Seems that we have been prisoners for far too long and we are now seeking parole with the schemers and ne'er-do-wells.
Just received second dose of Pfizer vaccine ... haven't become a zombie nor can I pick up quarters with the magnetic chip inserted in my arm ............... damn!!!!
Could use the change.
A good pandemic thought here j.

I was going to use the change to help the League of Emaciated Poets.
so true.....when the poet is locked away he or she hurls the theoretical characteristics at the sun and the remunerative suffix's around like the paintings on the wall of some ancient cave. I mean, mythology is only myth if it's used as such like those pictures of Atlas supporting the heavens as a worldly example of strength. But real strength is emerging from a global pandemic with your wits still intact, your shoulders square and the remaining parts of you that is still civilized , triumphant. Emancipation is everything that you mentioned my friend and all else left over, borrowed, spirited off, turned into song or crumpled to the trash bin at 3 in the morning. Staying in the house for the last year solved nothing. You're still the greatest poet living. dana

Its about time
we resurrect from
the dead ..rise up
and start to live
once again..to be
enjoying every ounce
of freedom; to touch
and feel life and love
once again.hopefully
we won't have to stare
at those 4 walls that
confined us. again

After the four walls of lockdown and the fear of going out, the claustrophobia is taking a break. We can escape and see our friends and family. People can come into our homes. We can hug, we can smile, we can start living again instead of having to fall back on memories. Our poetry will benefit from the upturn. Life is beginning to return to some of the freedom we had pre covid :) Hurrah says I.
