Your being is bare, sad with thoughts of loss; expressed beautifully with the wilting of a rose causing tears for someone deeply loved. Bare gardens equals a bare life. so well stated in a powerful Brevity poem.
Best, B.

When wilted roses weep
in a garden so bare
only sadness is felt
here within this poem
so well expressed..

Hi Jacob, this is a powerfully written piece, The bare gardens of life, the roses of love wilted, the thorns matching hurtful eyes. One can look at this poem through the eyes of nature or the eyes of humanity. Whichever way, the poem itself is a gem. It is always a sadness to see the roses weep, for they are love. Have a wonderful Friday....Mike.

You are welcome, Jacob. Have a wonderful Saturday....Mike.
I like gardens abundant with blooms, scenting the air. Your garden is bare and that is sad. Sadder still the thorns that match her eyes. Wilting roses and rain speak to me of winter rather than summer. This relationship is in its winter, and this four liner speaks volumes. Beautiful brevity J.
Actually I read this into a different depth... someone who bares (I noticed your title after I was thinking of this) their very soul, their weakness, and thus in showing it and in becoming vulnerable with the one they love their real strength is shown, such faith and trust will make the beloved cry. reminds me with a poem I wrote in a similar theme, (vulnerability is not weakness). so much said in few beautiful lines....

I have always felt vulnerability showed strength...the ability to shed the protective coat.
