Reading your work has always been a lift for my heart. I really didn’t get to read this repeatedly to make it out. Nice piece.
Been a while I came here cos of what I’m dealing but I think when my emotions collide with paper soon maybe you’d understand what that means. Thanks for always being here for me through your art. Much love
I was going to read Fabians's poem before reviewing this but remembered I can't because he was apparently insulted by the Senryu I wrote for him and blocked me. Which really sucks and hurts and is a little surprising. He had just sent the longest review I'd ever gotten so I meant verbose in that sense. No insult. But your poem is great! Sorry to unload here with that.
Well, I just had to read another of yours as I sit here dealing with my 7th day of cOVID.. Me..that is so so careful..and healthy..got it..Unbelievable!!
Anyway, the joy of being able to sit on a recliner and read poetry..
This one again is so clever..

So annoying as I have lost over a week of my adventurist life style.

"memories/collided with paper"
I once read a very long list that contained famous poets "definitions" of what poetry is. This could be added to that list. "Poetry is when memories collide with paper."
So much inventory there and I marveled at how much stuff we carry in us! So much to take stock of, so much to go through and sort out!
"a stack of memories
collided with paper" ~ that line just took my heart!
Its awesome to read you today!
At times the past is much like those things that you put in a drawer, thinking you'll need them someday. And when you go to the drawer to find something you think you need, all kinds of other stuff are on top. --- This was a look in the drawer, a very welcome look at what to look for.
