Losers

Losers

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Losers

street corner band

bullied voices rally together

stomp out the monsters

with brazen harmony.

I really like your insight, Ada...you are a thoughtful reader.

You were speaking to my city in this. Monsters with no love for the value of theirs or other lives lurk on the same corners where buskers and steel drummers mask the cacophony of a city whose commerce slowly dies. Your poems are like Big Little books if you remember them. Big story in a little package

thank you for your kind words, Bill,
j.
Hope it's a loud band to get those crazy monsters to shut up.... monsters must go, wherever they come from and whoever they are.... could be protestors or "Proud Boys" too.
Clever.
Best

I like where you took this, Betty....spot on.

I remember the blue brothers singing behind a wired fence in front of a moronic crowd.

yes, me too on that one.
thank you, andrew,

At least one hopes the monsters are stamped out. But sometimes the monster eats the band. Yum! Lol!
Actually, being loud and proud is often the best defense against injustice. That's my takeaway. Just some thoughts from a half educated hillbilly.
