Seat Yourself

macaroni

with a crony

elbow salad and jazzy croutons

a splash of window dressing

a crowd gathers 

before the display

notes of nostalgia

lettuce engage

music, words

a mix

tossed lyrics

traded with the sound

nefarious nibbling of language

the appetizers done,

that was the only fork

I understood,

time for the main entree

at market price

which is a review or two

quite expensive

this poetic meal.

Ah yes, what did the restaurants do after Covid…. Raised the prices for the same awful food… and what is “ market price” who makes that up? I’ll just have 2 glasses of wine with some French bread and leave off the lettuce …and what is the conversation? Pretty boring; I like my cooking better!

Jacob's gourmet restaurant is wide open folks after the Covid restrictions. Known for an excellent variety of offerings, desert are optional . Here is a big tip to his waitresses.
I love it.

Ah, but where are the croutons and brie? Perhaps a glass of red wine ... a table for two cronies ... near the kitchen of course, so the victuals come hot. Conversation that borders on the ridiculous ... strictly for fun.
