bloodlines on life supportA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertobloodlines on life support arbitrary fiction truth tears the seams made-up pain hurts the least but makes up poetry that matters none elegantly shaped stanzas shatter the heart's
guts but to no avail as the writer reveals little finds a way around the pain rather than through it cut and pastes lines as severance secedes from reality's grip and we hold tightly to what looks like gold but has no value in trade when emotions' stock is rising unless the surface is abraded and we revel in setting free what wants to be released by keys that may endure the counterfeit allegiance by punching themselves unconscious. erin-cilberto 4/10/22 © 2022 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
