dearest Jacob.. our Vintage Roses are huddled together praying for better days… as they are worried for the broken hearted who have lost so much. Your poetry is very healing … thank you.. gently, Pat
As always dear Jacob your poem makes me ponder...
Old photographs can bring back memories...good and bad.
wow...your line... "and the roses are worried'

Old photographs. Happy smiling faces reminding us that time moves on, but life doesn't always get better. Values seem to have gone down the drain. When you look at the mass shootings in Texas last week, and all the other similar incidents. So many needless deaths. We live in such challenging, restless times, with a crazy man in our midst. Oh for a simple life.
life is a fragile vase
and the roses are worried
That my dear friend sums up my thinking perfectly. The vase is well and truly cracked.

"...life is a fragile vase and the roses are worried."
My heart raced through this, as my mind instinctively focused on those lives taken in Texas this week. Just days from summer vacation. This one has a pulse, Jacob. Thank you for its message!
We definitely do need God back in our lives and in the homes. Maybe that would help keep young souls from going astray and using guns illegally.....not the way they were intended. Times were simpler back in the day. Very interesting j. Gives one something to think about. Good work as usual!!

There are so many upsetting things going on in the world....and God is not in some building just on Sunday...he needs to be in the heart...
so many profess and then in life act in the least Christian way possible.
thanks again, I thought this poem might be a throw-away...but your review convinces me to
let it ride.
