Us, who love to remember, us, who love to write. We love the lovers, who escaped.
"i embrace the torture
of not having you
yet embracing your body with my tears"
I liked and I understood the above lines. Thank you my friend for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I wonder, was Romeo and Juliet united after death??? was their passing a sweet sorrow or a fulfillment?? I think your title says it all really, we write poetry to a myth.... love is and always has been aa sickness that a kiss has cured.... unfortunately in todays world, it is an ailment that is lacking....
thanks Jacob for your poem.... loved reading it

Dear J, she is killing you. Maybe another time, another place? This is so romantically head in the clouds hopeful. You know I admire the optimistic outlook into death here and what follows.

WOW, together only in death. The longing, the yearning, the desire....all are so real in this poem, Jacob. They say love is special the second time around. Perhaps love found at the end of life is the real love. Who knows? So romantic...lips to lips! I really liked this one. Lydi**
