resisted residence

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

resisted residence

expansion,
let's add on
another wing to our
relationship

fly, more in love
feather our understanding
in airy flight
opposing to supposing

there are still clouds
to emaciate
tears to dry
we can fly

given one more take off
we might take from
what grounded us
molt those old causes

find relevancy in a disheveled
nest,
that is not damaged beyond repair
is not condemned but could find

refurbished sentiment
a fresh coat of passion
stay
i have repapered my walls

if you could break down yours
we could add on
another wing to our
relationship

and keep the house.

This is such a great metaphor, absolutely love it!!! I think us older folks could certainly build a new wing and paint it with a new found love; a better understanding, a new look on life; so, if you could think about a brand new coat of insight, that would be the path to a long euphoric life; I already changed my wallpaper, now it's your turn.
Brilliant!
Best,
B.

True, true! I wish I could have thought of that!
You’re very welcome J.
Love the metaphor here....like renovating a house, sometimes a relationship needs to be renovated. Walls are meant to be broken. It is the one who can do this who is the winner in love. Lydi**
