Burn

Burn

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Burn

the surface of the eclipse

is one blind eye,

and one telescopic lens

intruding

in shady appendage

two sides of a coin

of a sky

of wry smile

and a somber frown

you are the eclipse

I am wearing dark glasses

to shield my heart.

I dig this all day Jacob. The opening lines are killer and the close doesn't disappoint. Well done man.

The ancients believed an eclipse was a sign of impending disaster. They must have been the ones who invented romance. Keep those glasses on.
