tormented interior
the heart confesses
love, the restraint
bonds too close
to amend
the sentence exhumed
a plea entered
the judge of semantics
dead on the bench
parsed employ
confession thrown out
a weak period typed
at the end of a mistrial
or an incomplete thought.

Oh when the mind cannot be made up the minds court must ask to go over the facts before making a decision.

so true, Cowboy,
thank you,
j.
The legal imagery may represent either a romantic failure or a muse that is refusing to deliver. Either one is a justification for another glass of wine.

If I drank wine, I would have a glass with you.
thanks, John,

I try to never confess, always gets me into trouble and my passion is always misunderstood because of my lack of understanding. I feel this one! Excellent!

thank you for your kind words, Patricia,

Guilty of being too good. I'm always impressed by the flow of your thoughts and the way you tie dissimilar ribbon into similar bows.

this poem leads us in so many different directions and its strength is that it pulls at you all at once..... I love this pull as it allows for the brain to actually work and think and most important to simply embrace the words spoken/written... how the poem is read/interpreted not only says something about the reader, but more that the poet has created what a work of art should do.... think, feel, see the world from different eyes, among other emotions..... by the way, he/she/they are guilty as charged!!! our "lying" eyes know what we saw.... ;0) nicely penned, Jacob

I seem to have so many incomplete thoughts, thoughts about . . . er . . . This rather gets me thinking.

I think sometimes I am an incomplete thought.

the heart confesses love
confession thrown out

Isn't that often the case that something is said, which stirs up a hornet's nest but by then it's too late

How many times have we said something we shouldn't have but now it's too late. Love is a many splintered thing and often causes much pain.
