a hush in the shadowA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoa hush in the shadow heart armor is a keepsake a box in the attic of old photos of old loves gathering the dust of regret yet, experience is always a new labor to open with anticipation until it is closed with the same old song playing on the radio with a static ring much like the ones given with fairy tale endings in mind heart armor is a keepsake for the sake of hiding in that attic in hopes the intruder will surmise no one is home. erin-cilberto 8/12/22
