the stalled front

the stalled front

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the stalled front

soon,

i will be yesterday's

forecast

cloudy

with scattered sun

but a chance of pain

I think we all feel this way sometimes, like we fear we might hurt someone by being ourselves. But we must rain in order to pour out our souls.

I like the way you put that, Dale,
thanks for your words,
j.
Oh, yes, we're so used to be yesterday's forecast - often forecast by no one, because no one is interested in us today, or it's a Sunday and we see not a soul. But the pain? Hmm. Needless to say, J, I like the piece. Thank you. Oh, I hope there's no pain for you! :)

Sounds as though there has been a drought. Cheer up. The weather always changes.

When we write about it, does that make it less real or more real? Surely there is a Farmer’s almanac for long range forecasts.

of the heart? I want that almanac...
thank you, Winston,

It’s an awful thing having to accept pain as being the norm, there’s no normality after it.

Wow, this packs quite a punch and it is so clever. What a metaphor and brevity with it too. Excellent J.
