Such strong use of words Jacob. In our ending. We will learn enough. Be thankful for the kindness received. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry. I did enjoy.

I am feeling reasonably optimistic about Charles. He has had a long apprenticeship and he has got off to a good start this last week, despite grieving for his mother. Although I am not a fan of Camilla, he needs her by his side. He certainly has a huge act to follow. His mother, a one off. The outpouring of grief for her loss is colossal. Elizabeth the Great.

I really respected her immensely.
Hope Charles can carry on...

Thanks, J. Oh, yes, so much acceptance, all though even the BBC allows one or two protestors to speak - the antiroyalists. I'm not a BIG royalist, but do rather like the idea of our having a monarchy to stand beside our politicians. How long a 73-year-old (he's almost 74) Charles will last, goodness knows, but the politicians will wobble about a bit and present anxiety while the royals will give us a degree (not entirely, but nearly there) of immobility, confidence. Thanks again for your thoughts, Jacob.

it blows my my mind, Andrew, that I was two years old when Elizabeth became Queen.

amazing woman,
thank you,

Nicely done, I think she deserves a lot of respect and she was a good queen regardless of a couple miscalculated steps in the handling of Diana’s death but she was a strong woman. As far as the next in line, well we will see how that plays out.
I was rather hoping Charles would abdicate to William, but as it is, William's station in life has risen quite substantially with the passing of the Queen mother. At only forty, he may yet see his turn at the throne. Elizabeth will surely be missed.
I have the sense that this wonderful poem is in regards to the British monarchy. May the queen rest in peace as King Charles the 3rd. takes the helm.
You deserve a golden crown too sir Jacob.
