Blue Eyes Anonymous

Blue Eyes Anonymous

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Blue Eyes Anonymous

simply blissful

the wistful reckonings

of a touch savored

but wavered

before there is connection

expression

held inside

simply abide

until

she still

might look my way

hope is in my eyes

that I might catch hers

returning the glance

just that minute chance

simply blissful

They say blue eyes all comes back to one ancestor. I say all the original ancestors were black. The Aryans were not white and they held this mystic beauty in their eyes... I love it.

Thank you for your words, PM.

And how simply blissful it is! You may make eye contact with dozens of people during the day, but sometimes she's looking back. Or something. Great piece

This is simply a blissful poem to read
until she still might look my way
that glance ..minute chance .can make
all the difference .I love the internal splashes
of rhyme within the lines ..a smooth flowing
poem...nicely conveyed..enjoyed

Thank you for your kind words, Fran Marie,

Beautiful poetry. I like the repetition of simply blissful, to start and finish with. Those first glances can make or break an opportunity. Really like this piece J.

Captures very well the feeling of one who has seen "that" girl but has faltered before approaching her. The expression was indeed held inside, with, I imagine, accompanying frustration. Hope lingers, but success is slipping away by the moment. Been there myself, many times.

too many times, eh, John?
Yes...too many.
The first glance primes the engine. The second turns it over and you keep revving hoping she will notice what she’s done.

Nice metaphorical reply, my poetic friend.

Isn't it funny how two people can be in the same room, not a single word spoken, but a million thoughts in between? We dance on that highwire of thought only to fall into the quiet reality of nothingness.

As always, you express your thoughts so perfectly, Jacob.

It's always a pleasure.

Jacob, i like romance in your poetry .... it suits you :)

Eyes, oh yes the windows to the soul.
Always the first attraction for me , especially if they are blue like my own ...
