after storm

 

 

 

tonight we sing in soft embrace

harmonizing under the sheets

two poems lying side-by-side in white space

paper love

printing out our lyrics

 

I love you in punctuation

so elegant

the lines meet in heaven

the sound of the printer

sweet, like God's voice

 

as his arrangement

causes a cloud to smile
