When Limbo became a safe haven

When Limbo became a safe haven

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

When Limbo became a safe haven

eradicating the blame

it's always the same

the business end of personal

no harm intended

the crying game

because

it's always the same

the personal end of business

gather the tears in a bonnet

pour them on the page

as a sonnet

eradicating the blame

it's always the same

but no flower grows

from the roots of lies

just a little more of the soul

dies.

That couplet was worth the price of admission alone, sir!

For some reason the poem as a whole reminded of the Kurt Cobain line ‘I miss the comfort in being sad’

THank you for your words, John,
j.
Happens. Too many tears. Perhaps the reason for our global weather changes?

You, sir, always manage to find words to state the would be obvious and have it movingly true.
