Writing ... much like reading ... could be considered an aberration by some . A compulsion we have no control over. It is something that must be done whenever and wherever the feeling strikes. Much like other addictions there is no cure ... nor for that matter is one being sought.
So "whip it out and write it down" and the naysayers be damned.
Yep, fell for it. Was about to wish you better health, but we all know the sickness shall return, most likely as soon as you find that comfy spot in bed and feel your eyes close.
Best tojusttut, shift yourself to reach the lamp, find a pen, scribble and then try to forget it has a next line until morning.
But then again, would you ever have thought being told you had a terminal sickness would impress so many on here? 😃

Hi Jacob
You tricked me! all along I thought you were going to masterbate or other, yet the last line said it all… the urge to write overcomes ! you’re just too clever
Bravo!👍🌷🌷🌷
Hi J. IMO, REAL writers absorb the writings they read and let intellect translate to themselves. Just because we don't agree with the words, we do not pass judgement. We are all here to write, not judge.
Our comments should be to lift each other UP.
My dad used to remind us, "If you can't say a GOOD thing, then don't say anything." Hugs. Ur awesome.
Jacob, my dear poet friend, and downright humane human being, I want to say (and loudly), you need not apologize for the urge, no, scratch that, the need to write! It's ironic isn't it, we need to write, it's an internal aberration nagging us constantly. We want to write, to share our vision of the world around us, and to communicate to any and all who read what we have written, this vision. And as irony would have it, this can't help but be offensive to some people. As it should be!!! All art has but one real purpose, to make others (and ourselves) feel. And this poem, makes anyone who reads it, feel.
So Jacob, as a poet friend of mine (sadly he is no longer with us), would end his comments with "write on". And I, would say to you Jacob, "disturb the universe with your pen" and "let the ink flow"!!!!

Hi,
I see some writing that people are getting away from site. Yea, this is true, most people are genuine with natural well being. But when person becomes so unnatural without accepting truth but blaming back with more cunning words, goat eats grass it never eats meat like dog. Humans are not carnivorous las they have canine teeth like dog it has both molars and canines, it doesn't mean whatyou like to eat you eat that, actually it means what tastes your tongue you eat that , a tongue doesn't like flesh but a curry only human cook food. It doesn't mean if you eat you are a wrong person
What is it people are not writing here, people are leaving to heaven too. So few writers. I stopped reading writings of beren, MCS, belle79, eternity, only shows unethical words hurting persons.
People love to read good things, when people stop instead blaming good person making self doubt or betrayal, definitely god will not either encourage to read or review. God is not somewhere else it's inside being. I love and still reading only 3 personal writings, Jacob, chris, coyote. All other I just ignore for few because it's disturbing mentally and scared our brain starts thinking in their way which we don't even like as a person.
Anyways I just want people to stop hurting or going in wrong way. A hurt can be true never hurts back when you accept facts.
Writing is never therapy when person struggling alot to convince bad to good. Why you want to struggle if it is therapy because destressing your struggle for therapeutic values. A false praise needs more thought but natural writing like journal of day is always therapy write.
I know that feeling. If you don’t get the words down there and then, they can be lost forever. Fortunately my nearest and dearest are understanding and don’t consider it a rudeness. It’s the only sickness that I know that I would welcome with open arms:) It’s a gift to cherish dear j.
