My Sickness

My Sickness

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

My Sickness

I feel the urge
concealing it
makes it grow stronger
I want to so badly
the arousal is abrupt
insane
untucked

no longer is constraint
an option

I am going to do it here
right now,
I am so sorry if there is offense
in my action

but I must pull out my pen
and write a poem.

sometimes it's scary to pull out a pen or pencil and start scribbling, j... the looks people give... I've taken to tapping on the touchscreen of the phone as if I was merely scrolling or text/chatting but that may also be seen as rude on occasion....🕊️🙏🏻

The purpose of poetry / music / art is to awaken something in ourselves first and then be patient and allow something to be awakened in others. Great work, my friend.
