I have often wished the same, Chris.
Thank you for your words.

Wow! A wonderful set of metaphors here and they seem to ring true often blaming ourselves for things never said. Memory distorts and we attribute past issues to our character. So much in this piece. It is hard for that elephant to do magic anymore.

What was said or done in the past, hangs in the air, pervades thought, space and emotion. There's little or no way of erasing it, its a shadow that hides in dark corners and - it hurts.
If I've understood correctly - or near enough, your words have crossed an ocean and landed safely.
