Wings and Things

Wings and Things

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Wings and Things

I am the Eggman

in a white hen house

gathering shells

of political births

I am the fox

in a white hen house

opening cages

and ransacking principles

I am the lock on the door

enabled by a vote

light as a feather

but carrying enough weight

to clear the coop

leaving one sad Rooster

roosting on his morals

wondering why his crow

in a white hen house

no longer attracts

the brood

he is brooding over

in retrospective

shame.

It is also noteworthy that majority of his cabinet came from 'Fox' which is owned by a Big Fox himself and his crooked dealings and scandals; foxes know each other.
Excellent take on our current status.

Hehehe
You are welcome sir Jacob.
We have our own nasty fox ransacking principles, on a journey of destruction, causing mayhem. The most cunning and sly fox of them all. The electorate are waking up to just how damn dangerous he is. This write j, has a political flavour for me.

I hope the flavor isn't too overwhelming...hard not to write about it these days...poets speak out.... read more
And the fox has only been there 4 months ... 4 years will be a nightmare. ~Jim

One Day a friend told me first crack an egg before becoming a rooster, white, black and gray there's always light how do we hold shame if not though wisdom. Then the fox must go away.
Thank you for sharing.

No thank you for a good read my friend.
That pretty well sums it up. I love the whit egg house. It is only the unhatched egg that separates the white from house and since it is probably a chicken when it hatches it will do nothing but be a victim to the fox. A lovely metaphor and well done my friend.
