that cloud is poised above your lovely face

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

that cloud is poised above your lovely face

the blasphemous mountains
pivot between our hearts
a lonely Cessna's drone
parlays a message

Two lovers straining
to hear each other's
echoes
the sound of whispering Redwoods

I can almost see you
within each sigh
the peaks so high
with nonchalance

at our resolute tears
that touch each other's cheek
those blasphemous mountains
I swear to myself

I love the redwoods and I loved this part of the poem: Two lovers straining to hear each other's echoes
the sound of whispering Redwoods. Thanks for another excellent and inspiring read.

Thank you, butterfly.

Loved the line...it made me think of something monumental, insulting true love. It made me think of egoes....we cry and swear, yet we are so helpless against it.

Let's hope the plane doesn't crash land and get everyone hurt in the process. Very nicely crafted. I enjoyed.

I love the image but beauty is what the heart sees can never just that because its flesh but how it came together, love is what comes , its those craves that my love has no brakes.
Thank you for sharing

There were typos, lol, beauty is what the heart sees but it could never be just that, from the flesh.. read more
it is an exasperating notion that, in spite of the intensity of emotions, sometimes it just seems impossible to get through to another person. the mountain metaphor is very apt, and one feels for the struggle of the little Cessna.

I think the Cessna is going to crash land.
