A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Portal

I found a few old love poems

in the attic

of my heart

I thought about renaissance

dusting off the feelings

and bringing them downstairs

to use as kindling

for reigniting

some old flames

but then

(wisely or not)

I just returned the poems

to their hiding place

and went back to mine.

WOW ! Love this as I just discovered a pile of writes I did a few years back and found, for the most part, that they were not really something I wanted to share at the time. ~Jim

Yes, that tends to happen, and then later we think "oh, why not?"
Thanks, Jim.
