flowers in bed with inspirationA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoflowers
in bed with inspiration a
collection of Zinnias on
my front porch more
a garden with steps and
Morning Glories posted as
sentinels and
fiery Tiger Lilies zapping
the eyes of
all who dare tread intimately oh,
I like people and
their unextended visits once
in a while but
like a bud, not yet open I
thrive on the shelter of my own company I
write, the sound of keys heard by the world through
my screen door a
bloom in progress we
can have a quick "hello, how
are you?" but
my keyboard will whisper in my ear "we
have work to do." So,
admire my garden with
steps for as long as you persevere but
please don't knock. I
have work to do. erin-cilberto 9/28/25 © 2025 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
