What is real and what is not.

Even if it is not great poetry, please keep it real and human.

AI is being used so much here these days. We are losing the reality of our wonderful genre.

Even several reviews are AI generated.

It is really sad. Poetry needs to come from the real heart...not a computer generated one.

Stop using AI to evaluate other writers. Use your own knowledge that you went to university for. You say you were an educator for 30 years, yet you are using an AI tool an AI detector, you say... and now calling yourself an expert. But you're still using AI! That's the whole problem and issue is you're using AI and AI is poison to a writing community.

Personally, I think every submission should require a disclaimer, is there no way to check? Is a ban even possible? Of all the crap that has been flying around Western Civilization over the last twenty-five years, this development is the absolute shittiest. Have you seen the post about the fake country music song that made the charts... I'm not sure if it reveals how banal the current Country Music industry is these days or on how good Ai is...
Is there something missing here in this thread? Some of the comments seem to be complete non-sequiturs barely related to your post...

AI is being used to make poems and reviews...and so often we are not getting human writing.
That is what is going on. The serious poets who labor over creating their writings, revising them etc. are dealing with folks who are making instand poems by feeding an idea into AI. I took two of my titles and put them into AI and asked it to write poems for those titles...in ten seconds I had two complete poems.
Just words, no feeling.

I'm just so confused how that even works. So I can take just about anyone's poem and submit it to an AI tool and just ask the AI to evaluate it? How can we trust what the AI says? Why are you using AI to evaluate other writers. Stop using AI. Human should evaluate human. So you use AI to evaluate for AI by submitting human written work and what if the AI takes credit for good writers? I feel this is to discredit the young writers because its clear old writers who are using AI to evaluate work and probably using it to write their own work too.

Don't you have 12 year old girls to "mentor" and harass. Jacob is an adult. He should be able to handle criticism. He published this poem for a reaction and I'm simply calling out the blatant hypocrisy. He is using an AI tool. And he could be the very reason why a young is going to kill himself! Young males have the highest rate of suicides.

I wish I could rewind this site back 10+ years and resurrect those now sadly passed. It was a great place back then to learn, with the help of you and others Jacob, ones craft.

What's hard is when it's not so obvious anymore. I find the clear stuff a lot easier to deal with personally; still irritating but easier to take. When it gets harder to tell, I just feel like I'm being manipulated.
