Looking up at the downA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoLooking
up at the down come
hell or high water muttered
Noah as he tried to assess
what a cubit was and
how he would fill the ark with
animals that hated each other like
politicians two by two who
cared little about saving humanity but
had a flood of partisan agendas floating
in their little heads of inconsequence once
the boat was built no
one boarded they
were all waiting for the next elections to
buy tickets to
a paradise owned
by one we
hope does
not come in
pairs. erin-cilberto 11/28 © 2025 jacob erin-cilberto |
