Looking up at the down

Looking up at the down

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Looking up at the down

come hell or high water

muttered Noah as he tried to

assess what a cubit was

and how he would fill the ark

with animals that hated each other

like politicians two by two

who cared little about saving humanity

but had a flood of partisan agendas

floating in their little heads of inconsequence

once the boat was built

no one boarded

they were all waiting for the next elections

to buy tickets

to a paradise

owned by one

we hope

does not come

in pairs.

A wise and witty write ...

Kinda sums up the political situation in the UK too...a bunch of self-serving politicos....
