The Rock and Roll CabooseA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoThe Rock and Roll Caboose old rails dirty nails the wheels rolling the same track every day passing by my own life only stopping to let deceased friends disembark and a few tears that rust those old rails the train losing traction like the forgetful mind that sets down the book of life unable to connect words or the out-of-focus dots I wash my fingers constantly but the nails remained soiled with the dirt of waning life waiting for someone to repair the rails so I can think straight for at least one more ride. © 2025 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
