a small repairA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
i
find the deep white beautiful but
alarming where
did the roads go? where
is my life's journey? under
shovelfuls of repentance my
heart stretches to the limit i
shovel harder but
the white is too deep my
avalanche of a confession eases
some of the pain of
consequence God
watches me work and
pauses i
keep shoveling i
know there is pavement before
reaching damnation. erin-cilberto 1/22/26 © 2026 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
