Two Lovers, a footnote in History yet to come

Under the delusion
you could love me
I alluded to a mythological notion
of us being on a rainbow
frolicking like Adam and Eve
on steroids, fig leaves be damned
and maybe us, as well

Under the allusion
Paradise was a perfection
of flowers and trees
birds and bees
the softest of touches
I could love you

some myths might be real
at least I am
Under the delusion
this one could be.

Passion strikes hard and creates wonderful illusions and dreams. A most romantic poem that at the same time is highly sensual, what siren has bitten you Jacob? Very nicely penned

You are always welcome my friend
We hope against hope....compare relationships to the ones we assume are real on line. Could this be the one? Is this even real? So many questions. Lydi***

Words like that make thoughts into beautiful dreams - shades of all colours, the 'all about' like a beautiful garden, perhaps.. ready for meandering, hand in hand. Laughing, joyful, without a care in the world. Beautiful thoughts create the finest poetry, Jacob.

'Under the allusion

some myths might be real

Under the delusion

There's short love story there, Jacob, one to remember, smiling.

A beautiful poem of maybe wishful thinking. I very much like the references to the natural environment. Light hearted and lovely.

I like this, because in the end it remains hopeful (even if cynical in its tone). Anyhow, that's what I read. ~Jim

From beginning to end, I find this the oddest, most refreshing love poem perhaps I have ever read. I don’t really know how to review it. I’ll just say, Well done my friend, well done.

I love it very fun and fresh voice. I say pick another word

I do that too have that I either want to use or love the sound of. It seems the very word sets the stage and mood.
