Does it really feel like an achievement to get bunches of comments and compliments on poetry that we aren't even writing ourselves? AI is as honest as plagiarism.
Our genre is sacred to most of us who put our heart and soul into writing, not a machine.
Even reviews are being done with AI.
The real poets want human poetry and human reviews. That effort in the end will really be worth it. Our hearts can have some joy and our consciences can be crystal clear.
I have written of this, and am thankful for you and anyone else who will speak up and voice that AI is not welcome here. It’s bad enough using AI to write your own verse, but to allow AI to write reviews of the work of others is lazy and contemptible.
I wish us luck in this wish. It doesn't look good though man. Creativity might become increasingly blunted until Arnold comes back and fights Robert Patrick to the robo-death and physically helps Neo overcome his benzo addiction.

Yet, for art? Not good.

"I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream". I think it's only like 13 or 14 pages. He somehow coerced James Cameron and his wife to include his name in the writing credits of the first Terminator movie. It's a strange story, how he got the writing credit and his actual work. That dude was, insane but... he probably could've gotten a story credit for The Matrix franchise as well. In those 13 or so pages he described for the first time what a super intelligence would do if it got pissed off. That short story induces significant existential dread. An overpowered Auto Machine (AM) that developed a distaste for humans... it's not supposed to actually be a possibility of course.

It's insane that all the artistic fields were the first to be so effected by A.I.
I think there can be ways to utilise it (get it to suggest sources to read for example)
But to use it to write stuff to pass off as yours or even to interact with others using it... what's the bloody point?

I couldn't log on a Relic (surprise!). I agree 100%. Tech is taking over too much. I saw a show on youtube that exposes shows like "The Voice," where contestants voices are manipulated to sound perfect for the show. It's all fake like everything else lately. Tech is also being considered a detriment to students in school. Is this the reason for so many low scores and kids that can't spell?
This is a site for people to express themselves even if it's not perfect. To use AI to comment and write are most often utilized by those who are searching for compliments or approval of some kind. They don't realize the rewards that come with creativity from their own pen. Empty compliments and shallow reproductions from a robot probably won't last on this site without boredom setting in.
Agreed Jacob. It is a little obvious who is using it as the miraculous grasp of the English language and grammar is usually a dead give away. But it seems that fake praise rules supreme should be no surprise to us at all, considering the amount of copied and pasted "reviews" has also inundated this site in recent years.
Perhaps I was ahead of my time in noticing this and always make a point of not quite sticking to the point and throwing in the odd, odd word to proceedings, but no doubt people will now do that very same CABBAGE and prove my attempt at being at being unique and unprogrammed futile.
Perhaps I should have seen the death of poetry coming, but never thought for a second it would be in my lifetime.
Yours sincerely,
Not A.I... but then I would say that, wouldn't I?
