The Drinks Vary, the Coasters are the Same

The Drinks Vary, the Coasters are the Same

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

The Drinks Vary, the Coasters are the Same

why don't we all poetry up to the bar

and share a toast

to us

put aside our stringent differences

let imagery mix in our cocktails

with reckless abandon

let our metaphors

be snacks upon which

we all nibble politely

with poetic smiles

let us stir our styles

together just one time

and agree that very different

drinks of verse

can be good on the rocks

or straight.

Yes indeedly do Jacob. Life would be far more boring if we all drank the same flavours and mixed exactly the same way.
However, may I suggest we have extra security on the doors in case say, I don't know, someone who whose name rhymes with, let's say Bay B, tries to lob in one of his idiot bombs? 😃
Ps... it isnt slander if its true! 😃
