The Drinks Vary, the Coasters are the SameA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoThe
Drinks Vary, the Coasters are the Same why
don't we all poetry up to the bar and
share a toast to
us put
aside our stringent differences let
imagery mix in our cocktails with
reckless abandon let
our metaphors be
snacks upon which we
all nibble politely with
poetic smiles let
us stir our styles together
just one time and
agree that very different drinks
of verse can
be good on the rocks or
straight. erin-cilberto 4/28/26 © 2026 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
