Thirsty Babylon

He crammed his tongue down my kisses, sweet

like a soldier thirsting for water

in the belly of Babylon

where kisses are few.

 

Granite tendrils striking

against my feathery flesh

and I was up for the flight.

 

Against time

and circumstance

where lovers will cram

inevitable raptures in specks of time.

 

He forces his lust in my thighs

like a general, heading to battle

in the allied streets of Paris -

the city of love.

 

Marble eyes stone fixed

to my soaring soul

and I am up for the ride.

 

Against sanity

and better sense

where lovers will cram

irresistable flavors into one.

 

He crammed his heart into mine

like a mime, loving the unspoken

on the side streets of cement stares

where paths will blur.

 

Limestone beginnings hardening

the rock of our love

and I was up for the climb.

 

Against the stroke of midnight

a quarter to twelve

dancing for moments stolen

and always

always

cramming in the kisses.
