A Poem by Erin Lee

Christie

by Erin L George

C herry lips hinting of lime

h ug tight at her chest

r uby dressed. And I?

i try not to stare, and ask:

s weet Valentine, may I

t aste you?

I know no other way to quench our thirsts,

e ntwined by kisses...

L et me look at you,

y our heart-shaped smile

n ever less than amazing -

n ymph of all things woman.

T asty

a ugust sunshine, may I bask in

y our smell, sweet like summer

l emonade. Sugar n spice, all things fine -

o h! How I want to know you

r uby red lacing my mind.
