 the thoughts, the feelings
seemed so unreal
the gentle caresses
the trailing kisses
the loving words so sweet
such a thing can't surely be real

the lies, the excuses.
cheating, drinking
screams echo
tears fall
is it worth it at all?
music blasts
cut out the sobs
focus on the pain
maybe it'll finally be over after all.
