Star in the Sky

You smile with the fire of the fiercest star
You set my heart ablaze, even from afar
You peer into my soul from your sanctum in the sky
Moments in your arms teach me how to fly
Galaxies endure each movement of our lips
For our passions echo every time we kiss
Fingertips sweep promises into flesh and bone
As two lone stars forget the curse of being alone

Your heartbeat is in my eyes and ears
Beauty pulses through my veins and halts my tears
The warmth of the world resides in your face
And i am born anew from dust in space
Sunbeams interrupt the night, but I don't mind
The constellations in your heart still shine in mine
