The mask of enraptured sorrow

The mask of enraptured sorrow

A Poem by eyeoftheserpent
"

Ive constructed a mask to reflect the feelings of my nightmares, its hollow gaze and black lacerations are an appropriate reflection of my soul...

"

A facial casket, scarred with black and smeared with pallor.
My darker half controls the remnants of my twisted flashbacks.
Its in this mask that i find solice and silence of the screaming maw.
Strapped to my visage as a suffocating reminder, of what is to come in my slumbers.
It appears to me, speaks to me... enraptures me...
The very keystone to my bisected persona.
I was driven to create you, to wear you...and absorb you.
Reveling in your plastic and leather embrace, you hide my rage and tears...
As i shaped, and painted, and sewn you together i felt a grim satisfaction....
Somehow i knew....you liked it...

Yes I know the place behind the mask where we hide the pain and sorrows of lives.

Nicely written metaphors.
